Job Description

One of our clients is hiring for a Salesforce Programmer Analyst to support a department in the state of VA. You’ll improve a newly built Salesforce Service Cloud application, fix its defects, and help it serve residents who rely on critical social services programs.

This role suits a developer who reaches for configuration first, writes clean Apex and LWC when configuration isn’t enough, and works comfortably inside a disciplined Copado release pipeline.

Why You’ll Want This Role

  • Public-sector work that makes a direct difference for residents
  • A recently built application, so you’ll spend your time improving modern code rather than untangling a decade of legacy customization
  • Hands-on work across Flows, Apex, LWC, and Aura to LWC modernization
  • Exposure to Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce, Einstein, and Prompt Builder

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain Flows, Apex classes and triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to meet business requirements
  • Favor declarative solutions (Flows, Validation Rules, Permission Sets) and reserve Apex and LWC for requirements configuration can’t handle
  • Migrate legacy Aura components to LWC
  • Manage source control, deployments, and release pipelines across Salesforce environments using Copado CI/CD
  • Write and maintain Apex unit tests that meet org code-coverage requirements
  • Work with the DevOps team to debug, triage, and remediate defects
  • Document user stories, acceptance criteria, and design changes in Jira for both defect fixes and new features
  • Maintain technical documentation, including design specs, deployment notes, and release documentation

What You Must Have

  • 8+ years of Salesforce Service Cloud experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on Apex (classes, triggers) and Lightning Web Components development
  • 4+ years of production experience with Copado for release management
  • 3+ years of experience migrating Aura components to LWC
  • 5+ years of Jira experience with agile story writing, acceptance criteria, and defect tracking
  • Strong declarative configuration skills, including Flow Builder, Process Builder to Flow migration, validation rules, page layouts, and permission sets
  • Experience writing Apex unit tests within a DevOps-driven defect remediation process
  • Strong written communication skills for technical documentation
  • W2 only. No C2C or third-party submissions.

Nice to Have (Bonus)

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification
  • Experience supporting government or public-sector Salesforce implementations
  • Exposure to Agentforce, Einstein, or Prompt Builder, or familiarity with recent Dreamforce product announcements
