Title: Senior Java/AWS Tech Lead
Locations: -San Antonio, TX
Duration: 6 Months
Pay Range: $45 - $50/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)Introduction
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead the design and development of enterprise applications utilizing Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and AWS. This role requires a strong technical leader who can provide direction and mentorship to development teams while driving technical decision-making and technology roadmaps.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience with Java (Java 11/17) and Spring Boot.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Strong background in microservices architecture and domain-driven design.
- Prior work experience in the client's industry, particularly in P&C Insurance.
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
- Knowledge of database technologies like Oracle and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, ELK Stack, Grafana, and Prometheus.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement Kafka-based event streaming solutions.
- Design and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Establish CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Lead distributed onshore/offshore development teams and coordinate with business stakeholders.
