Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Principal Software Engineer to design, develop, enhance, and support complex software applications. The candidate will work closely with Business Systems Managers, Business Analysts, IT teams, and other stakeholders to plan and deliver software changes into production.

The ideal candidate should possess strong software development expertise, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to independently handle complex programming systems while providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and support one or more applications, working closely with Business Systems Managers and Business Analysts to plan and deliver code changes to production.
  • Ensure assigned development activities and deliverables remain on schedule.
  • Collaborate with clients, IT resources, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders to:
    • Understand business and user requirements.
    • Assess technologies and technical approaches.
    • Recommend and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in project estimation and planning activities.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality source code.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Follow software configuration, version control, and quality-management processes.
  • Perform unit testing and participate in performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Participate in deployment planning and production implementation activities.
  • Provide production support and participate in escalation activities for high-severity application issues when required.
  • Independently analyze, design, and develop complex programming systems.
  • Chair and facilitate Agile team meetings.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
