Job Summary
The Test Engineer is responsible for technical product support for new and existing production products and works closely with other engineering and functional teams to obtain optimum utilization of equipment, machinery, and resources.
Responsibilities
- Test equipment design and development, as well as support of the production processes related to test equipment and product electrical trouble shooting,
- Responsible for all Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and in the design of functional testers for PCB assemblies, peripherals and systems.
- Directing technicians and production personnel on testing and debugging operations.
- Maintaining and reviewing the calibration of test fixtures.
- Inspecting electronic equipment, instruments, products and systems to ensure conformance to specifications, safety standards and applicable codes and regulations.
- Provides ongoing product and process improvements to meet quality and production goals.
- Providing "on the floor" technical support as required for critical processes and product issues.
Education/ Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong emphasis on PCB troubleshooting at the component level.
- Computer skills:
- MS Office
- Manufacturing Software (Aegis/FactoryLogix preferred)
- Project Management Software
