Offline Programming Support
Location: Rochester, NY
Pay: $25–$28/hour
Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking an Offline Programming Support Specialist to provide technical support to customers and field service technicians working with CADMAN software and related programming products. This role combines software support, troubleshooting, networking, customer service, and exposure to CNC manufacturing equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a technical background in IT, computer programming, CAD/CAM, CNC programming, or manufacturing software. You do not need to be an expert CNC programmer, but familiarity with N/C or CNC programming is a plus.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support to customers and Field Service Technicians on CADMAN-related products.
- Train and demonstrate the use of offline programming software to customers and service personnel.
- Support the development and implementation of new machine posts.
- Prepare CADMAN software packages for customer orders.
- Maintain current software versions and organize software on the company network.
- Test, troubleshoot, and debug new software releases.
- Test and troubleshoot punching machine software, including imperial-mode functionality.
- Test laser and press brake programming software.
- Assist with software-related issues and provide solutions to customers and field service personnel.
- Occasionally travel to customer locations to provide training and resolve software issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Programming, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
- 1–3 years of experience with computer networking, software support, programming, or related technical work.
- Previous N/C or CNC programming experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Experience with PC hardware and software installation.
- Computer networking experience.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable working around manufacturing equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate solutions effectively.
