Director of IT for a Chicago-based retail brand.

Supervisory Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Oversees project and assignments within the Information Technology department

\n

• Leads efficient operation of the team so that prompt modernization and upgrades of IS are performed as needed

\n

• Manages a team of associates with varying levels of experience

\n

• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and effective

\n

\n

\n

Job Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Collaborates with the members of the executive team to identify ways IT can assist the company in achieving business and financial goals

\n

• Identifies new Technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications

\n

• Ensures information security, minimizes risk, and protects company’s and customers privacy

\n

• Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing and communication needs

\n

• Develops and implements the IT budget

\n

• Communicating goals, projects, timelines of the company to the department plans ways to execute those goals within the department

\n

• Establishes long-term IT needs and plans and develops strategies for developing systems and acquiring software and hardware necessary to meet those needs.

\n

• Assists as top-level contact for end users in determining IT requirements and/or solutions

\n

• Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations

\n

• Performs other related duties as assigned

\n

Job Requirements:

\n

\n
• At least 10 years of experience in administration of information systems and technology, with increasing levels of responsibility throughout

\n

• Experience in a retail environment is preferred.

\n

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Computer Science, or information Technology, Master’s preferred

\n

• Excellent ability to conceptualize long term business goals and develops orderly processes to accomplish

\n

• Thorough understanding of information technology and systems

\n

• Excellent Managerial skills

\n

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

\n

\n

• Compensation based on experience $150,000-$180,000

\n
