Graph Developer
3-4 days a week in NYC locals only
Must have a bachelors from a US University
Responsibilities
- Design and development: Architect, design, and implement graph-based data models and solutions.
- Query optimization: Develop and optimize efficient graph queries using languages like Cypher, Gremlin, or SPARQL.
- Data integration: Build and maintain data pipelines to load, transform, and integrate data from various sources into the graph database.
- Performance and scalability: Ensure the graph database and related applications are scalable, performant, and secure.
- Collaboration: Work with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (like data scientists, analysts, and other engineers) to define use cases and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Application development: Build applications or APIs that leverage the graph database for relationship analysis, recommendation engines, fraud detection, or other use cases.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentor junior developers on graph best practices.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for graph schemas, queries, and architectures.
Required skills and experience
- Hands-on experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune).
- Proficiency in graph query languages (e.g., Cypher, Gremlin, SPARQL).
- Strong programming skills in languages in Java and Python
- Heavy financial experience
- Familiarity with data modeling principles for connected data.
- Experience with ETL processes and data ingestion.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS is often a plus.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms, particularly related to graph theory.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
