Job Overview

Our client is looking for a hands-on Backend Java Developer to support a highly technical internal Fraud Risk application. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing enterprise backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, AWS, and SQL.

This role requires strong application development, debugging, production support, and cloud experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Build and maintain scalable microservices and REST APIs.
  
• Develop and support applications running on AWS.
  
• Work with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, and EKS.
  
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database issues.
  
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root cause analysis.
  
• Support batch-processing applications and data workflows.
  
• Collaborate with engineering, platform, compliance, and business teams.
  
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities.
  
• Contribute to application reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  
• Strong experience developing microservices and REST APIs.
  
• Hands-on experience with AWS.
  
• Experience with:
  • AWS S3
    
  • AWS Lambda
    
  • AWS Glue
    
  • AWS EMR
    
  • AWS EKS
    
• Strong SQL and database troubleshooting skills.
  
• Experience debugging enterprise applications.
  
• Production support and troubleshooting experience.
  
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
