We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support daily exam operations in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a Part - Time Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable creating a secure, well-organized environment for candidates. The person in this role will balance front-desk support, test room monitoring, and basic technical assistance while helping ensure each exam session runs smoothly and fairly.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome test takers, confirm their identity, and guide them through the check-in process in a clear and organized manner.
• Conduct required screening procedures, including the use of security tools, to uphold testing standards and site integrity.
• Observe candidates throughout exam sessions by performing routine room checks and monitoring activity for compliance.
• Provide timely support when minor equipment or device issues affect the testing experience.
• Respond quickly to candidate concerns, document incidents clearly, and escalate matters when needed.
• Protect confidential testing materials and maintain a controlled environment across all areas of the center.
• Help create a consistent and comfortable experience so every candidate can test under fair conditions.
• Record and report events that fall outside established policies, including suspected misconduct or irregular activity.
• Complete administrative support tasks during slower testing periods, such as scanning documents, handling clerical work, and preparing materials or equipment.
• Perform fingerprint capture and digital recordkeeping when required by exam protocols.
Flexible schedule, Saturdays required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework is helpful.
• At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in settings such as retail, hospitality, food service, or similar environments is required.
• Must meet the minimum age requirement for the position.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and team members.
• Ability to prepare accurate written reports and manage multiple responsibilities in a busy, fast-paced setting.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Windows and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based tools.
• Must be able to stand or remain stationary for extended periods, walk through the testing room frequently, and lift up to 40 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in tight spaces around office or lab equipment and maintain visual focus on screens and camera monitors while proctoring exams.
