Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for a Project Engineer in the Reno area to support major mechanical construction projects across HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal, boiler, and chiller scopes from design through closeout.
Impact
- Be the reliable partner tracking submittals, RFIs, and change orders so projects stay on schedule.
- Tighten coordination between design, detailing, and field on large HVAC and piping installations.
- Protect budgets with accurate estimating and procurement support.
Responsibilities
- Support daily engineering and coordination on major mechanical projects.
- Attend BIM coordination and weekly project sync meetings.
- Track submittals, RFIs, and change orders in Bluebeam.
- Assist with estimating and takeoffs in FastEst, FastPipe, and FastDuct.
- Visit sites to verify field conditions against design documents.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and equipment.
- Review design documents for accuracy and constructability.
- Shadow senior project managers through kickoff and turnover.
Must-Haves
- Project engineering or field experience in mechanical construction.
- Bluebeam proficiency.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
Nice-to-Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
- Exposure to FastPipe or FastDuct.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Onsite in the Reno area.
