Systems Administration Manager – Summary
Responsible for achieving Information Systems departmental goals by leading the Systems Administrator and Support Staff, ensuring high‐quality service, operational efficiency, and adherence to bank standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage System Admin staff, including hiring, training, performance management, coaching, and career development.
- Set and enforce job expectations, systems procedures, productivity standards, and customer service requirements.
- Contribute to departmental strategy by providing operational insights, evaluating options, and assessing outcomes.
- Manage financial responsibilities: forecast needs, support budget preparation, monitor expenditures, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure service quality by resolving complex issues, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements.
- Maintain professional and technical expertise through training, networking, and industry participation.
- Oversee system upgrade projects and ensure documentation aligns with lifecycle, change‐management, and compliance standards.
- Lead implementation and communication of core banking application releases/updates through the FIS PACE committee.
- Manage FIS Managed IT escalations and develop knowledgebase articles for system administration and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the IT Solutions Architect Team to transition administrative support as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Preferred certifications: CompTIA Project+ or PMP.
- 10+ years of general IT experience, including 2–5 years in application support management or systems administration leadership.
