Technical Skills:

\n

    \n
  • SQL Proficiency: Ability to create, read, update, and delete data efficiently; knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
  • \n

  • Database Management Systems (DBMS): Experience managing relational databases and performing data modeling.
  • \n

  • Linux Expertise: Proficiency in Linux distributions (e.g., Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu); knowledge of system security, permissions, firewall rules, and shell scripting
  • \n

  • Programming and Scripting: Python or Bash scripting for automation and integrating data pipelines
  • \n

  • Data Tools: Familiarity with analytical tools like Power BI, Tableau, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is advantageous
  • \n

Key Responsibilities

\n

  • Database Design and Management: Develop, maintain, and optimize database schemas using SQL; design table structures and relationships to support business needs
  • \n

  • Query Optimization: Write and improve SQL queries to enhance performance, troubleshoot slow-running queries, and implement indexing strategies.
  • \n

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Extract, analyze, and report data from large datasets using SQL along with tools like Python or Tableau
  • \n

  • Linux System Administration: Install, configure, and manage Linux servers, including user account management, file system maintenance, and process monitoring
  • \n

  • Scripting and Automation: Use Bash or Python scripts to automate tasks such as backups, data import/export, and routine maintenance
  • \n

  • Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve issues in SQL queries, database interactions, and Linux-based applications
  • \n

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including developers, data analysts, and IT administrators to maintain system integrity and optimize processes
  • \n
