Quality Technician I / Floater\n

Basic Scope/Purpose: (The job's primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization.)\n

\nConducts inspection of incoming materials, in-process and final inspections in accordance with established guidelines. \n
\n

    \n
  • Supports the manufacturing operations by performing tasks in accordance with established and documented work instructions (i.e., First Article, Material Inspection & testing, gauge set-ups, control of nonconforming material, etc.).
  • \n

  • Provides training and guidance in quality principles to associates both within and outside of the department.
  • \n

  • Ensures the acceptability of incoming materials, in-process and outgoing products by performing the specified inspections and audits.
  • \n

  • Collects data for to support analytical methods including capability studies, statistical process control, sampling plans and other statistical tools.
  • \n

  • Correctly interprets drawings, specifications, established standards (visual and dimensional), and other customer requirements and applies these to the product conformance determination process.
  • \n

  • Collects data for gage R&R's and gage calibrations in accordance with established guidelines.
  • \n

  • Author, verify, and issue Certificates of Analysis (CoAs) for outgoing shipments, ensuring all testing data meets customer specifications and regulatory compliance before product release.
  • \n

  • Strive for continuous improvement of the Company's processes.
  • \n

  • Maintain a clean and organized work place using the "6S" system.
  • \n

  • Embrace change in the work environment to maintain internal and external customer satisfaction. • Adjust schedule to fluctuate work priorities as needed.
  • \n

  • Considers the safety of self and others while performing job responsibilities. Understands Supervisor must be notified of unsafe conditions.

Education and/or Relative Experience: (The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job.)\n
\n
\n• High school diploma or general education degree(GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. \n
\n
\n• Exposure to ISO Quality System Requirements a plus. \n
\n

\n• Reinforce safety margins through active participation in incident investigations, corrective actions managed shift changes, toolbox talks, pre-tasking, STOP WORK, and task scanning.\n
