About this position:
iWorks Corporation is looking for a MuleSoft Platform Engineer to manage and optimize the MuleSoft runtime and supporting infrastructure across federal environments. This role focuses on platform configuration, monitoring, security, and reliability to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
Salary Range:
- Mid-Senior Career (4 - 8 years): 120k - 160k
* commensurate with the candidate's skills, experience, location, and qualifications.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Install, configure, and manage MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) or CloudHub environments
- Manage API gateway policies, security settings, load balancers, and TLS certs
- Configure monitoring tools (Anypoint Monitoring, Splunk, etc.) and set up alerts/logs
- Optimize platform performance and scalability
- Troubleshoot environment-level and connectivity issues
- Work with InfoSec teams to maintain compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, and DoD controls
- Support CI/CD pipelines and coordinate deployments across development, test, and production environments
Required Education/Qualifications:
- US Citizenship - Clearable
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect or Integration Architect
- Strong knowledge of MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform, including Design Center, Runtime Manager, API Manager, and Exchange.
- Experience with RESTful and SOAP web services, API design, and implementation.
- Experience managing on-prem or cloud-hosted Mule runtimes (RTF, CloudHub)
- Knowledge of security protocols and data protection.
- Background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.), and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in government or secure cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud)
- Experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
- Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, or DoD compliance processes
- Experience integrating with IAM tools or certificate management platforms.
