We are a 25 person Cloud and Managed Services Provider hiring a Service Desk Engineer L2 to support small and mid sized business clients across New York City.

\n

This is a strong fit for an MSP technician who is already handling advanced Tier 1 issues and starting to take on Tier 2 responsibilities across Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, Windows Server, networking, backups, and light project work.

\n

What You Will Work On

\n

• Provide Tier 1.5 and light Tier 2 support remotely and onsite for NYC based clients

\n

• Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, Outlook, business applications, printers, connectivity, and user access issues

\n

• Support Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, user migrations, permissions, file shares, Group Policy, and printer deployments

\n

• Assist with Windows Server support, server applications, workstation deployments, and basic systems administration tasks

\n

• Monitor RMM alerts, backup alerts, endpoint issues, and recurring client support needs

\n

• Support Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop environments as experience allows

\n

• Troubleshoot basic firewall, VPN, VLAN, switching, wireless, and general network connectivity issues

\n

• Assist with Datto, Veeam, VMware, Hyper V, and other backup or virtualization related support

\n

• Contribute to light project work involving workstations, servers, network upgrades, deployments, and cloud migrations

\n

• Maintain clear ticket notes, documentation, knowledge base articles, configuration notes, and improvement suggestions

\n

• Work closely with dispatch, Level 1, Level 2, and senior engineers to keep tickets moving and clients updated

\n


\n

What We Are Looking For

\n

• 2+ years of recent MSP experience supporting multiple client environments

\n

• Strong Tier 1 support experience with hands on exposure to Tier 2 responsibilities

\n

• Experience troubleshooting Windows desktops, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and common business applications

\n

• Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, MFA, permissions, file shares, Group Policy, and user administration

\n

• Familiarity with Azure, SharePoint Online, Intune, or Azure Virtual Desktop

\n

• Basic networking knowledge across firewalls, switches, VPNs, VLANs, wireless, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity troubleshooting

\n

• Exposure to Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Dell, SonicWall, WatchGuard, or similar networking platforms

\n

• Experience with RMM tools, backup monitoring, ticketing systems, documentation, and client communication

\n

• Professional, personable, and comfortable supporting clients onsite throughout New York City

\n

Experience That Helps

\n

• Datto, Veeam, VMware, or Hyper V experience

\n

• Huntress, Microsoft Defender, vulnerability management, spam filtering, or DNS protection exposure

\n

• Experience with workstation rollouts, user migrations, server support, network upgrades, or cloud migrations

\n

• Strong interest in growing into a full Tier 2 Engineer role

\n
