Do you love solving complex HVAC puzzles and making a difference for homeowners? In this role, you’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling systems with precision and care—partnering with dispatch and operations to deliver top-tier service every time.

What You’ll Do

  • Service & Repair: Maintain and repair residential heating and air conditioning equipment; commission complete systems including identification, wiring, and start-up.
  • Testing & Verification: Perform start-ups; test and record results to verify proper operation.
  • Diagnostics: Troubleshoot issues, recommend solutions, and execute repairs that restore performance.
  • Customer Communication: Explain the services and repairs you perform and flag any outstanding concerns to dispatch/customers.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Align your day’s work directly with the office for efficient routing.
  • Parts & Preparedness: Order parts in advance and arrive ready for each appointment; transport materials and tools and keep accurate inventory records.
  • Documentation: Complete all tablet-based paperwork neatly and on time; debrief each call with dispatch/customers and attach supporting documentation.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a clean jobsite, keep your company vehicle organized, use protective floor savers on footwear, and uphold our code of ethics and performance standards.
  • Safety: Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and support our safety culture. Other duties as assigned.

Must-Haves

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ HVAC service experience
  • EPA Certification
  • Solder/Brazing proficiency
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Beginner computing skills; able to use a computer, laptop, or tablet
  • Basic internet and email proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work overtime with short notice; occasional weekends

Nice-to-Haves

  • HVAC trade school certification
  • 1–2 years’ experience in construction, HVAC, or related work

Where and How You’ll Work

  • Primarily at occupied residential homes and construction sites; minimal office time
  • Drive to and from job locations daily
  • Exposure to active construction environments: equipment, elevated areas, confined spaces, noise, dust, hazardous materials, and odors
  • Indoor/outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) with appropriate PPE

Physical Demands

  • Operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift
  • Lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Climb, bend at the waist, crawl, kneel, and crouch often
  • Work at heights using ladders and stairways; occasionally on platforms/scaffolding with fall protection
  • Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, and safety-toe construction-grade work boots
  • Stand, walk, or sit for long periods
  • Hear, understand, and distinguish speech/other sounds to safely operate phones/equipment
  • Maintain close, distance, and peripheral vision with normal depth perception (with or without correction)
  • Speak clearly to share information with others
  • Enter data via keyboard or 10-key on handheld devices/computers
  • Use arms/hands to reach overhead; signal; grasp; hold; lift; turn; push; and pull tools/materials
