If dialing in exact shades and laying down flawless finishes on steel parts gets you fired up, this role was made for you. Join our manufacturing/fabrication team as a Metal Substrate Paint Formulation & Application Specialist and own the process from mix bench to final inspection.
Your Core Impact
- Blend and fine-tune paints/coatings to precise color specifications
- Spray-apply coatings onto steel and metal components with consistent coverage
- Read and execute job orders, specifications, and color formulas with precision
- Prepare surfaces: clean, sand, and mask to ensure optimal adhesion
- Verify shade accuracy, finish uniformity, and overall quality on completed parts
- Service and clean spray guns and mixing equipment regularly
- Adhere to all safety standards and wear required PPE
What Sets You Up for Success
- Proven background in color mixing/blending (required)
- Experience working with steel/metal materials (required)
- Industrial/manufacturing painting experience (preferred)
- Exceptional eye for color and repeatable results
- Proficiency with spray equipment and finishing tools
- Detail-driven with strong quality control habits
- Works well solo and as part of a cross-functional team
- Dependable and open to overtime
