Position Summary
CooperWorks is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Project Manager to manage commercial laminate casework and countertop projects from project award through production, delivery, and completion.
The Project Manager serves as a key connection between our customers and internal teams, coordinating project requirements, schedules, documentation, materials, production, and delivery to help ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within established scope.
What You'll Do
- Manage commercial casework and countertop projects from award through completion.
- Review contracts, architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Coordinate project submittals, approvals, schedules, production requirements, and deliveries.
- Partner closely with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, Quality, and Logistics throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, revisions, change orders, approvals, and other project documentation.
- Monitor material requirements, project milestones, production timelines, and customer deadlines.
- Proactively identify potential project issues and coordinate solutions before they affect cost, quality, or schedule.
- Communicate changes in project scope, specifications, scheduling, or customer requirements to appropriate internal teams.
- Coordinate phased production and deliveries based on project and customer schedules.
- Maintain accurate and organized project records and documentation.
- Support project closeout, including resolution of outstanding items and customer follow-up.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Project management or project coordination experience in casework, millwork, cabinetry, countertops, commercial construction, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate and address project challenges.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal departments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and effectively use project management and business software.
- Commercial construction experience is preferred.
- Experience coordinating project schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change orders is a plus.
