Job Description
IQ Clarity's client is seeking a Network Engineer / Senior Network Administrator to join a collaborative IT team. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of enterprise network environments. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and contributing to a resilient and secure infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software
- Administer network and telecommunications systems following ITIL change management practices
- Create and maintain detailed network architecture and process documentation
- Partner with vendors and data centers for implementations, upgrades, and maintenance
- Monitor network and server performance to ensure reliability and efficiency
- Implement and support network security solutions
- Administer cloud-based VoIP solutions
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities
- Plan for network capacity, scalability, and storage needs
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans
- Collaborate cross-functionally on projects and initiatives
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in network administration, primarily in Cisco route/switch environments
- Preferred: Cisco CCNA certification (minimum), Cisco CCNP or Juniper equivalent routing/switching
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with switch configuration and troubleshooting (VLANs, STP, trunks, EtherChannel, QoS)
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus platforms
- Working knowledge of routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
- Experience with DNS/DHCP in enterprise environments (Windows preferred)
- Network security expertise (firewalls, ACLs, VPNs, NAT/PAT, certificates)
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (Azure preferred)
- Experience with network monitoring and logging tools
- RADIUS authentication experience for network and wireless access
- VoIP experience (enterprise or cloud-based solutions a plus)
