End User Support Technician
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused End User Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support for a public safety organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working directly with users, and supporting mission-critical systems that serve the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide help-desk support for end users, including computer setup, printer configuration, and application installation and management
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues
- Support user accounts and permissions in Active Directory
- Configure and support mobile devices (iOS, Android, or other platforms)
- Assist with basic server and infrastructure support as needed
- Perform occasional physical tasks such as running network cabling and moving/installing computer equipment
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support
Qualifications
- Familiarity with core help-desk functions and IT support best practices
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Active Directory
- Basic understanding of networking concepts
- Exposure to Windows Server operating systems preferred
- Security+ certification recommended (willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Comfortable working in and around law enforcement and public safety personnel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service mindset
- Dependable, professional, and able to handle sensitive environments appropriately
