GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Serves as direct customer liaison to support internal end-user support needs. Maintains and supports PCs, printers, software and other peripheral devices to ensure reliable and efficient services to end-users. Installs system hardware and software for all branch locations. Performs a variety of other system related tasks to support the infrastructure and satisfy the overall technology goals of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Actively maintains help desk tickets, provides thorough documentation for problem resolution of tickets, and escalates tickets to higher tier level if resolution cannot be found.
  • Administration of system privileges and passwords for all bank systems and associated users.
  • Deploy and support personal computers, printers, software, phones and other peripheral devices.
  • Assists in implementing custom hardware and software configurations.
  • Consults with IT staff, users, and management to establish baseline requirements for new systems or modifications as needed.
  • Develops training materials and procedures, and/or trains users in the proper use of hardware and software, including printing, word processing, electronic mail, and general operating system functionality.
  • Provides on-site and remote hardware/software support to end-users.
  • Disposal of equipment that has expired and/or has been decommissioned.
  • Any other duties that may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of both the department and organization.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of job-related (IT or CORE Banking) experience required.
  • A+, Network +, MCP or equivalent certification preferred or must possess the ability and motivation to obtain certifications within a year of employment.
  • General knowledge of various technologies and practices including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Ping, Network File and Printer Sharing, Remote Desktop support, and basic LAN/WAN concepts.
  • General knowledge of AS400 operating systems, a plus.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Must be capable of working well with others.
  • Must be able to perform all functions independently with minimal supervision in a reasonable amount of time.
  • Must be able to evaluate work orders, projects and properly prioritize.
  • Flexible to work, after-hours, and weekends, when necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License with insurance eligibility, as some travel is required.
