Your Engineering Career Can Be About More Than Just a Paycheck.
What if the systems you tested weren't just another product release?
What if your work helped ensure that the technology relied upon by U.S. Navy sailors performed when it mattered most?
At Orgro, we're looking for System Test Engineers to join a team supporting the Navy's AEGIS Combat System—one of the world's most sophisticated defense systems.
This is an opportunity to take the engineering knowledge you have and apply it to real-world systems with a real-world mission.
You'll help test, analyze, troubleshoot, and verify systems designed to support the people who protect our country.
That's engineering with a purpose.
What You'll Do
As a System Test Engineer, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and technical professionals while exercising your expertise in system testing, verification, and validation.
You'll have the opportunity to:
-
Support the development and execution of system and software test procedures
-
Test complex systems to verify that they perform according to defined requirements
-
Analyze test results and identify unexpected behavior, defects, or areas of concern
-
Help develop test plans, procedures, reports, and other technical documentation
-
Troubleshoot problems and work with engineering teams to understand their root causes
-
Collect, evaluate, and interpret technical data
-
Participate in system integration and verification activities
-
Support engineering reviews and technical meetings
-
Collaborate with engineers, government customers, and other technical professionals
-
Help evaluate system readiness before products move into operational environments
-
Learn how sophisticated defense systems are designed, tested, integrated, and validated
You'll be doing more than checking boxes.
You'll be proving how complex systems work when the mission depends on them!
This Is a Great Opportunity If...
You're looking for a place where you can learn, contribute, and grow.
You may be someone who:
-
Enjoys figuring out why something isn't working
-
Has a natural curiosity about how complex systems operate
-
Likes testing things to see if they perform the way they're supposed to
-
Enjoys solving problems rather than simply following instructions
-
Has strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
-
Pays attention to details others might overlook
-
Can look at data and recognize when something doesn't make sense
-
Takes pride in producing accurate, professional work
-
Communicates well with both technical and non-technical people
-
Wants hands-on exposure to real engineering environments
-
Is excited by the opportunity to contribute to national defense
You need to be curious, analytical, willing to learn, and ready to take on a challenge.
What We're Looking For
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline
-
0–3+ years of engineering, software testing, systems testing, verification/validation, laboratory, or related technical experience
-
Internship, co-op, academic laboratory, senior design, or project experience is welcome
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
-
Ability to read, understand, and work with technical requirements and documentation
-
Have an active or the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
-
U.S. Citizenship required
We're interested in engineers who have the technical foundation and mindset to succeed—not just candidates who have already done this exact job.
Academic projects, internships, laboratory experience, capstone projects, military experience, and other hands-on technical experience can all demonstrate the skills we're looking for.
Your Experience Doesn't Have to Look Exactly Like Ours
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
-
Systems or software testing
-
Verification and validation
-
Test planning or test procedure development
-
Requirements analysis
-
System integration
-
Data analysis
-
Troubleshooting
-
Laboratory testing

-
AEGIS Combat Systems
-

If you have an engineering foundation, analytical mindset, and desire to learn, we want to hear from you.
