Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) Engineer — Responsibilities

- Design and size residential, commercial, and industrial battery storage systems.
- Review load profiles, utility data, solar production, and backup requirements.
- Specify batteries, inverters/PCS, transformers, switchgear, and related equipment.
- Support system integration across 120/240V, 120/208V, and 277/480V applications.
- Review one-lines, electrical drawings, specifications, and installation plans.
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and field installations.
- Work with manufacturers, installers, and customers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure designs align with applicable NEC, UL, NFPA, and local AHJ requirements.
- Provide technical training and support to sales teams, installers, and customers.
