Job Description
QA Automation Engineer – Object Storage
\n
\n
Denver, CO (Hybrid) | Competitive base + benefits | Full-time
\n
\n
An established leader in enterprise data storage is building a brand-new object storage engineering team in Denver and is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to own test automation for the platform from day one. This is hands-on quality engineering for an exabyte-scale object storage system – the S3 data path, durability, and the movement of data across storage tiers – for someone who likes breaking distributed systems before customers do.
\n
\n
What you'll do
\n
- \n
- Design, build and maintain automated test coverage for object storage features across the S3 data path, durability and data-movement functionality.
- Develop component, integration, system, regression and failure-injection tests that validate correctness and reliability at scale.
- Validate S3 API behaviour, compatibility, error handling and data integrity using the AWS SDKs, tools and automated test frameworks.
- Build automated coverage for failure scenarios – node loss, disk faults, partial writes, network disruption and recovery.
- Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines and improve test reliability, execution time, diagnostics and reporting.
- Own the team's automated test strategy and work with developers to define coverage and acceptance criteria early in the development cycle.
- Investigate failures, reproduce complex issues and help isolate defects across distributed system components.
