About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Configuration Engineer to support a Smart Spaces and IoT implementation project. This role will focus on Building Management Systems (BMS), smart building technologies, IoT integrations, system configuration, data onboarding, and troubleshooting activities across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring smart building platforms, integrating building systems and data sources, supporting onsite deployments, and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Kode OS site-specific configuration and deployment activities
- Support Smart Spaces and IoT platform implementations across multiple facilities
- Provide onsite and remote support for Nook installations and related technologies
- Configure and onboard data sources, including source mapping and historical data backfill activities
- Enable and support energy module integrations and related building system connection
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide Tier-2 technical support
- Design and implement workarounds for landlord-owned Building Management System (BMS) limitations and integration challenges
- Coordinate with facility teams, landlords, vendors, and project stakeholders
- Travel to project locations as required for installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities
- Support commissioning, validation, and ongoing optimization of Smart Spaces solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Building Automation, or related technical field
- 5+ years of experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS), Smart Buildings, Smart Spaces, IoT, or Building Automation technologies
- Experience configuring and deploying enterprise software platforms
- Strong understanding of data integration, system onboarding, and configuration management
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues in production environments
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into system configurations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kode OS platform configuration
- Experience supporting Nook deployments and installations
- Knowledge of smart building ecosystems, sensors, IoT devices, and energy management systems
- Familiarity with HVAC, BAS/BMS systems, facility operations, and building infrastructure
- Experience integrating multiple building data sources and operational technologies
- Prior pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, or enterprise campus environment experience is preferred
