Senior Network Engineer — Chicago - Trading Infrastructure

We're exclusively partnered with global market maker who is hiring a senior network engineer to help set the direction for its network engineering team as the firm scales. This is a technical leadership role where you'll be independently driving large initiatives, some global in scope, and shaping where the network function goes next, not just executing against a roadmap someone else set.

We're looking for a blend of traditional networking depth and real software development ability. Think automation platforms, monitoring systems, or internal tools and web apps you've built and owned end to end.

What you'll be doing:

- Leading major network infrastructure initiatives, including global projects
- Setting technical direction and vision for the network engineering team
- Designing and building automation platforms and monitoring systems that the team runs on
- Owning internal tools or web applications you've built to support network operations
- Working closely with engineering leadership as the firm scales its infrastructure

What you'll bring:

- \n
- Senior level experience independently leading large network initiatives
- Strong traditional networking background (routing, switching, campus/DC/WAN)
- Strong software development experience - automation platforms, monitoring tooling, or internal tools/web apps you've built and maintained, not just scripting
- Experience working in low latency, trading infrastructure, or mission critical environments
- Comfort operating at a leadership level while staying technical
