Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Systems Administrator to support a manufacturing organization in Charlotte, North Carolina with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, identity services, and endpoint administration. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on detail-oriented individual who can quickly assess technical environments, resolve complex issues, and deliver practical improvements with limited supervision. The role begins with a significant onsite presence and transitions into a hybrid schedule as business needs evolve.

Responsibilities:
• Direct directory services and identity-related work tied to domain consolidation activities, ensuring a smooth user experience during environment changes.
• Administer core Microsoft 365 platforms, including Exchange Online, Entra ID, licensing, mailbox support, and user account governance.
• Guide user movement across separate domains and cloud environments while maintaining secure access and operational continuity.
• Review current infrastructure and recommend enhancements that strengthen reliability, security, and day-to-day efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve advanced issues involving authentication, system performance, user access, and connected endpoint services.
• Provide technical support across infrastructure and end-user computing, acting as a key resource for systems and device-related needs.
• Execute laptop setup, deployment, configuration, and user migration tasks for approximately 60 internal employees.
• Partner with operations leadership to prioritize work, communicate technical findings clearly, and carry initiatives forward as an independent contributor.
• Apply security and compliance expectations in daily administration activities, including follow-up actions related to audit-driven standards.• At least 5 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Demonstrated expertise with Active Directory, including migration or consolidation work across multiple domains.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Experience supporting Windows environments, endpoint management, and user hardware deployment activities.
• Ability to evaluate existing systems, identify gaps, and propose effective technical solutions.
• Proven troubleshooting skills across authentication, access management, and infrastructure-related issues.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced setting with minimal day-to-day direction.
