Project Coordinator (Field & Customer Facing)
Job Description
We're hiring a highly organized, self-motivated Project Coordinator to support electric distribution projects for residential and commercial customers in western Wisconsin. This role is built for someone who is strong on project coordination, customer communication, and juggling
\n
multiple priorities. Technical design skills are trainable the coordination and customer skills are what matter.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
\n
• Manage multiple customer projects at once, from initial request through final design.
\n
• Communicate directly with residential and commercial customers to clarify requirements, timelines, and expectations.
\n
• Translate technical information into clear, simple explanations for non-technical audiences.
\n
• Conduct local site visits (~30% of the role) to assess existing infrastructure, take measurements, and verify site conditions.
\n
• Partner with electric, gas, and service designers to align plans and prevent conflicts.
\n
• Create and update electric distribution layouts using GIS and drafting tools training provided.
\n
• Prepare supporting documentation including material lists, schedules, and transmittals.
\n
• Participate in weekly scheduling meetings and team check-ins.
\n

WHAT YOU BRING
\n
• 2–4 years of project coordination or project management experience, ideally in utility, construction, engineering, or a related industry.
\n
• Strong customer-facing experience and excellent communication skills.
\n
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts.
\n
• High organizational capability and the ability to self-manage.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
\n
• Willingness to perform local field work using a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed).
\n

NICE TO HAVE
\n
• Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, drafting, or mapping systems.
\n
• Background in utility, electrical, construction, or field-based work.
\n
• Exposure to SAP.
