Broadband Service Technician | $23/hr Paid Training | Columbus, OH

Training Information
- Training Start Date: October 19th, 2026
- Training Location: Blacklick, OH
- Training Pay: $23.00 per hour
Primary Responsibilities
- Install and activate broadband and telecommunications equipment in residential homes.
- Troubleshoot connectivity and service-related issues.
- Perform indoor and outdoor service work while following safety and quality standards.
- Safely utilize ladders, testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
- Complete service records and work order documentation accurately.
- Provide professional customer support and education during appointments.

Minimum Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Must reside in Columbus, OH or within approximately 55 miles of the service territory.
- Available to attend training beginning October 19th, 2026.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders up to 36 feet.
- Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must pass background, drug screening, and motor vehicle record requirements.
Preferred Experience
This role requires previous hands-on work experience and is not considered entry-level. Candidates should have at least 8 months of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Using hand tools and/or power tools
- Working on ladders or at elevated heights
- Performing physically demanding work
- Following workplace safety procedures
- Providing customer-facing service
Previous fiber or telecommunications experience is not required.
Work Environment
- Daily travel throughout the Columbus service area.
- Indoor and outdoor field work.
- Routine use of ladders, tools, and safety equipment.
- Exposure to changing weather conditions and residential job-site environments.
- Work around pets, construction areas, and other common field conditions.
