- Generally speaking, production is scheduled Monday-Thursday, however candidates will need to be available to work Fridays as necessary.
- We are scheduling either 10- or 12-hour shifts depending on production needs.
- On weeks we have 10-hour shift scheduled, first shift will be from 5am-3pm.
- On weeks we have 12-hours shifts scheduled, first shift will be from 3am-3pm.
- Our change over between first and second shift happens at 3:00pm
Position Summary:
Conducts standard acceptance testing on raw materials, work in process and finished goods on a shift based schedule, or as needed, to support operations. Uses good safety, housekeeping, and laboratory techniques. Responsibilities include testing polyester coated film, visual inspections, solution testing and incoming material testing.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs inspections and provides accurate and repeatable results from all quality control test methods and visual inspection standards. Make entries of QA test data in an SPC format for data evaluation.
Communicates test results and evaluations (written and oral) to manufacturing.
Backs up other QC Techs in the event of scheduled or unscheduled absences, or fluctuations in workload. Provides training for new employees when authorized by Manager.
Generate reports from the QA data system as required by management. Working knowledge of applicable Quality Management procedures and problem solving method.
Calibrate department instrumentation using established written procedures.
File and/or retrieve samples and data from the quality assurance files or sample archives as required.
Maintain work area in accordance with all applicable safety, housekeeping and environmental policies and practices.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
2 years experience with PCI's operations or equivalent experience.
Associates or Bachelors degree in a science, mathematics, or quality discipline is preferred.
Proficient in computer data entry techniques.
Certification in a quality discipline by the American Society of Quality Control is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at time
Ability to travel throughout facility as required
Working Environment:
This is an in-person position in a lab and plant environment. Noise level low to moderate. Plant environment will include variations in temperature.
