We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, observability platforms, and operational processes that support clinical trial data management systems and business-critical services.

Position Summary

The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining AWS cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and operational excellence. This role combines cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, systems administration, DevOps practices, incident management, and platform reliability to support modern software delivery and production operations.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

\n

\n
• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure within AWS environments.

\n

• Build highly available, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions.

\n

• Manage compute, networking, storage, and platform services supporting critical applications.

\n

• Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and operational costs.

\n

• Implement infrastructure best practices aligned with security and compliance requirements.

\n

\n

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

\n

\n
• Design and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.

\n

• Automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment of cloud resources.

\n

• Maintain reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.

\n

• Implement version-controlled infrastructure management practices.

\n

• Support environment consistency across development, testing, and production systems.

\n

\n

CI/CD & Release Automation

\n

\n
• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

\n

• Automate application build, validation, testing, and deployment workflows.

\n

• Improve deployment reliability, speed, and consistency.

\n

• Support Agile software delivery practices through continuous integration and continuous deployment.

• Collaborate with development teams to streamline release processes.

Linux Systems Administration

\n

• Administer and maintain Linux-based production systems.

\n

• Support system configuration, performance tuning, patching, and maintenance.

\n

• Troubleshoot operating system, application, and infrastructure issues.

\n

• Ensure platform stability through proactive monitoring and operational management.

\n

• Maintain secure and compliant server environments.

\n

Observability & Monitoring

• Design and enhance monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability capabilities.

• Implement proactive monitoring solutions to detect service degradation and operational risks.

\n

• Analyze performance metrics, logs, and system behavior to improve reliability.

\n

• Develop dashboards and operational insights supporting incident prevention and resolution.

\n

• Improve operational visibility across cloud and application environments.

Incident Management & Reliability Engineering

• Participate in production support and incident response activities.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex infrastructure and application issues.

• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.

• Reduce operational risk through automation, resilience engineering, and process improvement.

• Support service availability and uptime objectives.

Networking & Security

• Manage and troubleshoot cloud networking components and integrations.

• Apply networking best practices related to:

• Implement security controls and infrastructure hardening practices.

• Support vulnerability remediation and secure deployment standards.

• Develop automation solutions using scripting languages such as:

• Automate repetitive operational tasks and administrative processes.

Documentation & Operational Excellence

• Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures.

• Document incident response processes and troubleshooting guides.

\n

• Establish operational standards and best practices.

\n

• Drive continuous improvement across platform engineering and operations.

\n

Required Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

\n

• 4+ years of hands-on AWS and DevOps engineering experience.

\n

• 5+ years of Linux systems administration experience.

\n

• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation.

\n

• Experience supporting production environments and mission-critical services.

\n

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

\n
