🚀 Network Security Engineer (Firewall / Web Proxy SME)
📍 Irving, TX (Hybrid)
We’re working with a global consultancy supporting a major financial services client on a large-scale divestiture and network separation programme.
They’re looking for a Network Security SME with strong experience across firewalls and web proxy technologies to help design, optimise, and secure critical infrastructure during this transformation.
💡 What you’ll be doing
- Act as an SME across Firewall + Web Proxy environments
- Design and optimise security rules, policies, and configurations
- Support network segmentation & separation (ACLs, access control)
- Troubleshoot complex network security incidents & performance issues
- Work closely with engineering, security, and application teams
- Support audits, compliance, and documentation
🧠 What they’re looking for
- Strong experience with:
- Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco ASA/FTD
- Zscaler, Forcepoint, Blue Coat (ProxySG)
- Solid understanding of:
- TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAT
- Experience working in enterprise environments
- Comfortable operating as an SME / senior engineer
- Scripting (Python / PowerShell) a bonus
