Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide.


We have an immediate opening for a full-time System Administrator with experience setting up and supporting users with their Windows PC's, Mac's, iPhones, and Androids devices. Includes user support and connecting primarily to Microsoft 365 cloud services like Exchange Online, Teams and OneDrive. Experience with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Entra ID would be desirable.

If you possess detective like trouble shooting skills and are analytical and process oriented this position is for you. The ideal candidate will possess experience in both end user and server configurations. Our in-house IT department supports both office and remote users. You will get the opportunity to work on a lot of interesting projects with Microsoft Cloud services and other solutions. As a candidate for this position, you will need good phone and written skills. You will need to be able to research and manage device support and configuration issues and work with your teammates to develop resolutions and implementation processes. Requirements:

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Support installing and configuring hardware for distributed workforce, including laptop imaging, access control and application deployment
  • Windows 11, Apple MAC and IOS system deployments and user computer setups
  • Troubleshooting of Windows 11, Apple MAC and IOS system
  • Oversee equipment warranty repairs
  • Support access control associated with users/permissions.in Microsoft Entra ID
  • End user support and troubleshooting
  • Basic understanding of PowerShell programming
  • Manage IT resources and inventory
  • Creating and maintaining documentation for IT systems.
  • Performing routine server maintenance
  • Maintain and monitor MDM deployed applications, device compliance & configurations
  • Maintain and monitor the deployment of Windows, IOS and Mac updates
  • Ability to manage escalated technical problems

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Self-directed, service driven self-starter and ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously. with a proven record of support qualifications
  • Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Knowledge of computing infrastructures, in particular end user MS Windows environments
  • Ability to identify and recommend solutions to technical problems
  • Understands IT process with familiarity in enterprise software configuration, management, and monitoring tools
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
  • Strong customer relationship skills
  • Ability to remain in contact with the client through the completion of the incident
  • Problem-solving abilities to meet reasonable deadlines
  • Ability to create and modify small PowerShell scripts
  • Familiarity in server upgrades and backups
  • Ability to work remotely at times
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Can sit for several hours in front of a computer monitor

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years in IT support of Office 365 on Windows and MAC platforms
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Office 365 and Microsoft Entra ID management experience
  • US-based only and a fluent English written and speaking grammar level
  • Please note any technical certifications you may have
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Windows server OS maintenance
  • Experience with Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Intune, Entra ID and Entra Directory Services
  • Experience with Entra ID user, groups and understanding of group policies
  • Experience setting up users with the Microsoft Office, OneDrive
  • Experience MDM or Endpoint device management tools, Microsoft Intune or other device implementation/automation
  • Experience in supporting Windows deployments using PXE or FOG server is a plus
  • Experience with Apple Business Manager and Apple support is a plus
  • Microsoft certifications like MCSA: Office 365 is a plus

Working Conditions:
