As a Project Architect, you will play a crucial role in developing, evaluating, and presenting design and technical options for consideration by principals, teammates, consultants, clients, and agency stakeholders. You will lead or support Revit-based documentation, consultant coordination, technical detailing, and interdisciplinary model coordination. Your work will focus on developing innovative, efficient, and resilient projects aligned with client goals while representing the company in Owner meetings.
Responsibilities
- Apply knowledge of State & Local building codes, local zoning regulations, and referenced standards.
- Provide technical guidance to junior staff.
- Implement the firm’s BIM vision and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across project processes and deliverables.
- Develop and manage project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
- Manage Revit models and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) setup and oversee drawing outputs across all phases.
- Conduct clash detection and coordinate resolution processes using BIM technology.
- Participate in BIM coordination and consultant coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure alignment on model expectations, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborate with the firm’s global Design & Technology leadership to align digital strategies, standards, and protocols.
- Serve as the single point of contact for all BIM-related matters.
- Oversee plugin deployment, software updates, printing, and publishing of drawing sets.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Ability to independently produce construction documents.
- Experience leading projects from Schematic Design (SD) to Construction Documentation (CD) and Bidding.
- Ground-up experience in project execution.
- Experience with multifamily and/or senior living projects.
- Construction administration experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
- 8-10 years of post-graduate experience.
- Licensure and/or other certifications.
- Enscape, Newforma, and Procore experience (training available).
- Wood frame experience.
Work Environment
The position is located in The Loop/Downtown Chicago, with a Chicago office comprising 40 people, where 75% focus on architecture and 25% on interiors. The team size is typically 4-5 people with a Principal assigned to each project. This is a hybrid role, requiring 4 days in-office and 1 work-from-home day of your choice. Typical working hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with some flexibility. The work environment is inclusive and collaborative, with a strong focus on sustainability and innovative design. Employees have access to public transportation, a Design Technology group resource & tools, and enjoy 10 holidays plus 1 floater holiday annually.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $50.48/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
