Our client in the utilities and energy sector is seeking a Senior Performance Tester to join a long-term technology initiative focused on enterprise application performance, reliability, and scalability. This position will play a key role in validating system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring applications meet business and technical expectations before deployment.\n

\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing, test automation, monitoring tools, and application performance analysis, along with experience supporting modern development and deployment practices.\n
\n
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance, load, stress, and scalability tests\n
\n
\nAnalyze application performance metrics and identify root causes of bottlenecks\n
\n
\nUtilize performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling\n
\n
\nMonitor system behavior using tools including AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar technologies\n
\n
\nCollaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve performance-related issues\n
\n
\nCreate detailed test plans, test scripts, performance baselines, and test result reports\n
\n
\nSupport API performance testing for REST and SOAP services\n
\n
\nParticipate in CI/CD processes using tools such as Jenkins and Git\n
\n
\nReview server logs, system metrics, and database performance data to troubleshoot issues\n
\n
\nContribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on application performance and reliability\n
\n
\nExecute performance testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle\n
\n
\nDevelop test scenarios that simulate real-world production workloads\n
\n
\nEvaluate system behavior under varying load conditions\n
\n
\nDocument findings and provide recommendations for optimization\n
\n
\nWork closely with project stakeholders to establish performance benchmarks and success criteria\n
\n
\nAssist with test environment planning, test data management, and execution coordination\n
\n
\nSupport performance validation efforts for enterprise GIS and mapping-related applications\n
\n
Experience Requirements
3+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and performance testing\n
\n
\nStrong experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and/or Gatling\n
\n
\nExperience using application performance monitoring and observability tools\n
\n
\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems\n
\n
\nExperience testing REST and SOAP APIs\n
\n
\nKnowledge of database concepts and server administration fundamentals\n
\n
\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to interpret complex performance data, graphs, and logs\n
\n
Experience With ESRI And/or GIS Technologies Is Highly Preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n
\n
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field\n
\n
\nEquivalent combination of education and practical experience will be considered
