ILLUME, a leading designer, manufacturer of high-quality branded and private-label home fragrance and personal care products, is seeking an IT Systems & Support Specialist to join our small and mighty IT team.

The IT Systems & Support Specialist will be responsible for ensuring seamless technology operations by providing expert-level support, analyzing and resolving complex technical issues, and enhancing end-user productivity through innovative solutions. The IT Systems & Support Specialist will leverage advanced diagnostic tools, system administration expertise, and strategic problem-solving to maintain and improve the company's end point and production floor IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support for end-users, resolving complex hardware, software, and network issues with a focus on minimizing downtime and optimizing system performance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain desktop systems, including custom configurations of hardware, software, and peripherals (e.g., desktops, laptops, printers, and wireless devices) to meet organizational needs.
  • Conduct in-depth systems analysis and diagnostics to identify root causes of recurring issues, developing long-term solutions and preventative strategies.
  • Administer and troubleshoot enterprise-level business applications (e.g., O365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) from a technical perspective, including user permissions, integrations, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to evaluate, test, and deploy new technologies, ensuring compatibility and alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system configurations, technical procedures, and knowledge base articles to enhance operational efficiency and end-user self-service.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle processes, including advanced configuration for onboarding/offboarding, inventory tracking, and vendor coordination for repairs or upgrades.
  • Utilize remote management tools and hands-on expertise to perform sophisticated repairs, upgrades, and performance tuning at the desktop and network level.
  • Research and implement security best practices for desktop environments, including basic IT security protocols and VPN configurations.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between end-users, third-party vendors, and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution of escalated issues.
  • Proactively monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and execute preventative maintenance to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to end-users on technical processes and issue resolution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in an advanced desktop support or IT engineering position.
  • Expertise with Windows and Mac operating systems, including system optimization and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Advanced proficiency with O365 ecosystem (O365 Admin Center, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint) and Microsoft Office suites, including scripting or automation experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN) and basic IT security principles.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause analysis, develop technical solutions, and implement system improvements independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Experience thriving in a collaborative, high-pressure environment with a focus on exceeding performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks or similar methodologies is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

What we Offer:

  • The salary range is $31.00-$34.00/hour. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range commensurate on the candidates' experience and skills. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

Work Environment:

This position involves sedentary work with frequent sitting and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, walking, or standing.

This role operates in a professional office environment/manufacturing environment where the noise level is moderate
