Instrument Test Technician I
Location: Milpitas, CA 95035
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Interviews: In-person only
Education Requirement: Associate’s (AS) degree only – no BS submissions
Job Summary
Perform assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of BD instruments. Ensure all products meet functional and quality standards while maintaining safety, compliance, and continuous improvement practices.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble, test, and analyze moderately complex instruments.

Perform electrical, mechanical, or software troubleshooting and identify root causes.

Interpret test results and recommend performance optimization solutions.

Read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and GMP requirements.

Support Continuous Improvement (Lean Manufacturing) initiatives.

Train and mentor team members as needed.

Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and other departments.

Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work area.

Perform other duties as assigned and work overtime if required.
Qualifications

Education: AS degree in Mechatronics or related field or 5 years relevant experience.

Skills:

Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and analytical skills.

Proficiency with mechanical tools, Windows PCs, and basic math.

Ability to read drawings and interpret specifications.

Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
