Senior / Lead AWS DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure

Job Description

We are seeking a visionary, highly skilled, and hands-on Senior / Lead AWS DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of industry experience to architect, scale, and secure our cloud-native infrastructure. In this role, you will lead the evolution of our CI/CD pipelines, drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards, and champion reliability, automation, and security best practices across multi-account AWS environments.

You will act as a technical bridge between software development, QA, and infrastructure operations, ensuring our systems scale effortlessly to support our growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Architecture & Engineering: Design, deploy, and maintain highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable distributed systems on AWS (utilizing core services such as VPC, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, and CloudFront).

\n

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Spearhead the definition and management of cloud infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK. Drive zero-touch provisioning and state management.

\n

• CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Architect, build, and optimize robust automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or AWS Developer Tools.

\n

• Containerization & Orchestration: Manage containerized workloads using Docker and orchestrate microservices deployments on Kubernetes (Amazon EKS).

\n

• Observability & Site Reliability (SRE): Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana to maintain high system availability and fast incident response.

\n

• Security & Compliance (DevSecOps): Integrate security automation (SAST/DAST, vulnerability scanning) into pipelines. Ensure continuous compliance with industry frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

• Cost Optimization (FinOps): Continuously monitor cloud resource utilization, analyze cost allocation, and implement rightsizing and automated savings strategies (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances).

• Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a technical authority; mentor junior and mid-level engineers, conduct architectural reviews, and define team-wide DevOps best practices.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 9–10 years heavily focused on AWS Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

\n

• Cloud Expertise: Deep, production-level expertise in core AWS services, networking concepts (VPCs, Subnets, Route53, VPN, Transit Gateway), and IAM security policies.

\n

• IaC & Automation: Advanced proficiency with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation/CDK.

\n

• Containers & Orchestration: Strong hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS management, Helm charts).

\n

• Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tool development.

\n

• Methodologies: Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Git workflows, and trunk-based development.

\n

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to cross-functional stakeholders
