Driven by innovation, safety, and collaboration, we are committed to delivering exceptional product quality and service excellence while fostering a professional, supportive, and growth-oriented work environment.

Position Summary

The role will act as on-site representative for ZL Chemicals, serving as the primary point of coordination and oversight during the deployment of novel enhanced oil recovery (EOR) chemical technologies in mature oil wells. The role will be responsible for supervising all field activities at the well pad, ensuring that subcontractors, service providers, logistics personnel, and operational teams execute their respective scopes of work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project procedures, schedules, and technical requirements. They will maintain close communication between the client, ZL Chemicals project management, and field contractors to ensure seamless integration of chemical injection operations, equipment mobilization, wellsite preparation, flowback activities, and operational reporting. A key focus of the role will be to ensure that the deployment of the EOR technology is conducted to the highest operational and HSE standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of novel EOR chemical technologies in field environments
  • Work directly with pressure pumping crews, operators, and field supervisors during execution
  • Oversee application of a range of chemicals into targeted mature wells
  • Troubleshoot field execution issues in real time and drive immediate solutions
  • Translate technical and lab-based solutions into field-ready procedures (SOPs)
  • Support pilot programs and scale deployment across multiple wells and pads
  • Ensure safe, efficient coordination of chemical supply, logistics, and field operations
  • Partner with commercial and technical teams to demonstrate value and performance to customers
  • Collect and analyze field data to support performance validation and continuous improvement
  • Drive adoption of new technology by building trust with operators and field personnel

Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of field operations experience in oil & gas
  • Hands-on experience with chemical treatments / pressure pumping
  • Experience working on-site at well locations
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in dynamic field environments

Please note: this role requires genuine well-site field operations experience. Candidates whose background is limited to EPC, construction, infrastructure, or office-based project management without direct oilfield field execution exposure will not be considered.

Key Competencies

  • Hands-on execution mindset and comfort working in the field
  • Ability to operate effectively under uncertain and fast-changing conditions
  • Strong ownership and accountability for outcomes
  • Ability to influence field teams and drive adoption of new technologies
  • High learning agility and adaptability

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Performance-based bonus tied to deployment and operational success
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Travel and field support expenses covered
  • Opportunity to grow with a high-impact, technology-driven organization

This role is ideal for:

  • Field engineers or operations leaders from pressure pumping, chemical services, or EOR looking to move into technology deployment and ownership
  • Experienced field operators from smaller regional service companies who are used to working lean, making decisions independently, and getting things done without layers of approval
  • Individuals who want direct involvement in bringing a new technology to market, not managing a process someone else built, but building the process themselves

We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.
