Job Description

Pay: $120,000 to $160,000 base salary, plus annual bonus

\n

Location: Remote (US) or Dallas-Fort Worth hybrid

\n

Travel: About 25%, to project sites in 20+ states; per diem paid

\n

Reports to: VP of Field Services

\n

\n

THE ROLE

\n

GreEnergy keeps utility-scale battery storage running. Our technicians commission, maintain, retrofit and repair BESS sites across the country for owners, EPCs and equipment makers.

\n

You will be our Lead Project Manager: the person who knows what is happening on each project, keeps the paperwork ahead of the work, and gets things done the day they come up. Our business development team wins the work; you run it. This is a hands-on project role.

\n

\n

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

\n

    \n
  • Every active project. Scope, schedule, PO and the customer conversation from kickoff to closeout, with weekly reports that leave customers no surprises.
  • \n

  • Same-day estimates. When a customer or site manager asks for added scope, you get the facts and the estimate goes out that day.
  • \n

  • Paper ahead of the work. Every job has a confirmed PO, and you ask for the increase before the money runs short.
  • \n

  • Hours that add up. You read the daily reports every day, know what each crew did and why it took the hours it took, and fix coding or timecard problems with the site manager the same day.
  • \n

  • Clean starts and finishes. A kickoff before every mobilization so crews arrive with the scope, materials and tools they need; equipment off-rented and paperwork closed at demob.
  • \n

  • Safe, accurate crews. Everyone clocks in and out on time, signs the JSA before work, and works to our head of safety's requirements on every site.
  • \n

  • Site problems solved fast. When something goes wrong on a site, you get the facts and drive the fix with our VP of Field Services and head of safety.
  • \n

  • A stronger bench. You lead a project coordinator and the site managers on our largest projects, and grow them into people who can run complex sites without you.
  • \n

\n

\n

A TYPICAL WEEK

\n

    \n
  • Each morning, read the prior day's dailies across every active site and chase what does not add up
  • \n

  • Calls with customer project managers on scope, schedule and PO runway, listening for problems on their site we can help solve
  • \n

  • Estimates for added scope, written from site manager input the same day
  • \n

  • A weekly check-in with each site manager on hours remaining by scope and what the site needs from you
  • \n

  • Kickoffs for new projects, and site visits when a job needs you there
  • \n

\n

\n

WHAT YOU BRING

\n

Required

\n

    \n
  • 5+ years managing field projects for a specialty contractor, commissioning firm or O&M provider in energy storage, solar, wind, substation or industrial electrical work
  • \n

  • T&M and fixed-bid work under customer POs, including change orders you priced and negotiated yourself
  • \n

  • Enough technical depth to walk a BESS site with a technician and an equipment maker's rep and follow the conversation
  • \n

  • Clear, precise writing; your reports hold up when an owner's engineer reads them line by line
  • \n

  • Experience leading field crews or site leads
  • \n

  • A bias for action: you would rather send the estimate today than tomorrow
  • \n

  • OSHA 30, or willing to earn it within 90 days of hire
  • \n

\n

Preferred

\n

    \n
  • NFPA 70E, PMP
  • \n

  • Prevailing wage or Davis-Bacon projects
  • \n

  • Procore, QuickBooks or similar project and cost tools
  • \n

\n

\n

WHY GREENERGY

\n

    \n
  • Real authority. You run your projects and work directly with company leadership.
  • \n

  • Tools already built. Our own field app carries daily reports, a live PO funding ledger and automated weekly customer reports, so you manage projects, not spreadsheets.
  • \n

  • Room to grow. You will help build out the PM team as the project count grows.
  • \n

  • BESS only, founded by technicians. The work and the crews are the point.
  • \n

\n

\n

PAY AND BENEFITS

\n

    \n
  • Annual bonus, plus per diem on travel
  • \n

  • Medical insurance, with the company covering a portion of the premium
  • \n

  • Dental, vision, life and disability coverage
  • \n

  • 401(k) with company match
  • \n

  • Paid vacation, sick time and holidays
  • \n

\n

\n

WORKING CONDITIONS

\n

    \n
  • Regular travel to utility-scale BESS sites, many of them remote, in heat and cold
  • \n

  • Site PPE, orientation and badging requirements apply on every site
  • \n

\n
