Job Description

Our client, who is a leading distribution company in Kenosha, WI is looking for a full-time onsite Senior Systems Engineer focusing in on Windows/VMware to lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise-wide hosting solutions. This role focuses on virtualization, containerization, cloud platforms (Azure and AWS), enterprise servers, and storage systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to infrastructure management. Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (preferred). Our client is looking for a minimum of 5 years of experience working with multiple operating systems in enterprise environments and has a willingness to travel to domestic and international branch locations as needed. This is a hands-on role with build, some patches and upgrades focusing primarily on Windows, VMware and Citrix. Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Kenosha, WI. - This is a direct hire w2 position! Must have 5 years of recent on-premise experience. Client is requiring a very stable work history. Prefer role that have been W2 and not contract roles!

Primary Responsibilities

Design, plan, and implement enterprise system solutions within Microsoft Windows Server and VMware environments.
Manage and maintain server hardware, software, and associated applications and systems.
Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance for hosting services initiatives.
Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding of new team members.
Administer and support Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments.
Develop, document, and review policies, procedures, and solutions related to IT hosting services.
