Job DescriptionTitle: Data Analyst
Location: Hybrid (3x a week onsite) in Pittsburgh, PA or Cleveland, OH
Employment Type: W2 only
Duration: 10-month contract with potential for extension or full-time conversion Overview: The Data Analyst will work closely with senior management, technical teams, and business stakeholders to gather and validate data requirements. This role supports enterprise data warehouse initiatives within the banking domain and involves implementing best practices for data manipulation, storage, and analysis.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate data requirements.
- Design and document logical and physical database structures.
- Develop, automate, and maintain large-scale ETL processes.
- Modify existing databases or guide developers/analysts on required changes.
- Test ETL jobs and database updates; identify and resolve defects.
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality and readiness for reporting and modeling.
- Apply best practices for scalable data manipulation and storage.
Required Skills
- Experience with Teradata (development and/or administration)
- Proficiency in Informatica (ETL design, mappings, workflows, scheduling)
- Strong data analysis and data profiling capabilities
- Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse environments
- Background in banking/financial services, especially CECL (Current Expected Credit Loss)
- Familiarity with automation tools, scheduling systems, and data lineage/documentation practices
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Advanced degrees or certifications in Data Engineering, ETL Development, or Business Intelligence are a plus
