The Network Administrator will lead the management and maintenance of a medium enterprise network, primarily utilizing Cisco network equipment. This role focuses on ensuring optimal network performance, configuring network components, and troubleshooting issues. The administrator will occasionally provide on-call support and collaborate closely with other IT professionals to maintain secure and efficient network operations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support enterprise network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement effective solutions
- Configure network devices and optimize network performance
- Monitor network health using specialized tools
- Manage firewall and VPN setups
- Lead network administration team activities
- Provide occasional on-call and after-hours support
Required Qualifications
- CCNA certification
- Proficiency in network configuration and management
- Experience with firewall management, especially FortiGate
- Knowledge of VPN technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and subnetting
- Skilled in using network monitoring tools
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
