ACCELERATING YOUR FUTURE

The Head of Continuous Improvement and Performance Optimization will be a hands-on change leader helping teams translate strategy into measurable results—growth, quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity—by strengthening how we run the business through RoslinCT’s Lean Manufacturing Production System. You’ll work across all operational functions in a highly matrixed environment, guiding and coaching leaders and teams to build sustainable self-optimizing processes and a strong continuous improvement culture. Key functions include; facilitating value stream, process mapping sessions, kaizen events, and Gemba problem solving sessions and Gemba walks.

This role is for someone who loves turning complexity into clarity—building practical rhythms, metrics, and improvements that stick. You’ll influence how teams plan, prioritize, execute, and improve—at scale—while developing a continuous improve culture and capability in leaders and practitioners across the organization.

You Will Make an Impact:

  • Project Leadership: Lead high-impact cross-functional projects using the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) framework to solve complex business problems.

  • Strategy Deployment: Partner with senior leadership to align continuous improvement projects with overall business strategic goals.

  • Data-Driven Analysis: Analyze operational data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and validate that improvements deliver measurable financial impact.

  • Training & Coaching: Facilitate workshops (e.g., Kaizen events) and mentor Green Belts and Yellow Belts to build internal Lean Six Sigma capability.

  • Culture Transformation: Promote a culture of excellence by standardizing processes and ensuring improvements are sustained through effective control plans.

  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor process performance and report progress to executive management.

  • Drive the RoslinCT Production System principles and practices including; tiered accountability, visual management, gemba, leader standard work, 6S (5S+safety), gemba, etc, across all functions to achieve business targets and drive continuous improvement.

  • Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across operations to improve efficiency, quality, and service outcomes. Partner with key leaders and collaborators to align improvement work with business priorities.

  • Apply structured ‘gemba’ problem solving, root cause analysis tools, continuous improvement methodologies to address performance gaps and operational challenges.

  • Partner with leadership and cross functional teams to deploy standard work, best practices, and process improvements.

  • Analyze performance data, metrics, and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and measure impact.

  • Build and run operating cadences that connect strategy, goals, execution, and problem-solving.

  • Lead productivity metrics success: goal setting, opportunity identification, and execution of improvement work.

  • Develop and facilitate multi-year strategy deployment using standard tools and routines.

  • Develop and reinforce the leadership culture through methods such as critical metrics leadership, Tiered Daily Management systems, and Gemba walks with structured problem-solving.

  • Standardize and improve operating mechanisms that increase KPI accountability and speed of action.

  • Improve decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving capability within teams to increase autonomy and accelerate change.

  • Support change management efforts by engaging stakeholders, communicating progress, and reinforcing adoption of new processes.

  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and kaizen events to build continuous improvement capability in the field. Promote best practice sharing and harmonization across the network.

What You Will Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

  • Certification: Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Green Belt with significant experience) from a recognized body.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience leading process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing, service, or corporate environment.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Miro).

  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to influence without direct authority.

  • A highly organized work style that ensures timely execution of tasks.

  • A mindset that ensures accurate results.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, operations, or business (or equivalent experience).

  • 8+ years working in OE or a continuous improvement business system.

  • Demonstrated track record implementing continuous improvement in a functionally agnostic environment.

  • Proven ability to deliver year-over-year results using data-based problem solving.

  • Experience developing, training, and coaching international teams.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a heavily matrixed organization.

  • Comfortable working in ambiguity while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; able to influence and lead change.

  • Six Sigma certification (preferred but not required).

Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, technical expertise, specialized skill sets, market demand, internal equity, and business needs.
