Our client, a leader in manufacturing for transportation and energy sectors, is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join their team. As a Quality Technician, you will be an essential part of the Operations Department supporting manufacturing and materials teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to quality assurance, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Quality Technician
Location: Plattsburgh, NY
Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.50 / hour
Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm
What's the Job?
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality and compliance with customer and internal standards
- Document and report defects, deviations, or non-conformities, maintaining a focus on controlling overdue NCRs
- Manage calibration instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with calibration schedules
- Conduct manufacturing line audits as per schedule to uphold quality standards
- Collaborate effectively with Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, and Materials departments to support daily operations
What's Needed?
- Ability to measure using equipment such as calipers and perform dimensional, material, and visual inspections
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or deviations from quality standards
- Effective communication skills for reporting and cross-functional collaboration
- Willingness to report risks and opportunities for continuous improvement
