POSITION OVERVIEW

\n

This role sits within the Core Compute Infrastructure department, reporting directly to the Director of Cloud and Platform Engineering. The incumbent will solve critical system stability, scalability, and major incident challenges for the client by providing L3 SME technical leadership across large-scale Linux environments.

\n


\n

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

• Serve as the highest level technical escalation point (L3 SME) for Linux/Unix infrastructure | Lead resolution of critical incidents, major outages, and perform advanced troubleshooting of OS, kernel, and performance issues.

\n

• Manage and support large-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, CentOS, SUSE, and Unix environments | Lead OS patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle management.

\n

• Drive toil reduction through automation and operational innovation | Develop and maintain shell scripting, automate provisioning, and contribute to Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform.

\n

• Ensure system availability, stability, scalability, and operational compliance | Review and approve changes related to compute infrastructure while driving continuous service improvement.

\n

• Conduct capacity planning, resource optimization, and implement proactive monitoring and self-healing mechanisms.
