• Seeking a technically skilled Applications Engineer to research and develop new applications.

\n

• The primary objective of this role is to develop new applications, improve existing processes, and contribute to new product development.

• Identify opportunities to enhance existing products and develop innovative solutions utilizing core technologies.

• Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, service, manufacturing, and supply chain.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Develop applications and optimize process performance on ion beam systems, conducting relevant testing, demonstrations, and technical evaluations.

\n

• Develop and maintain Best Known Methods (BKMs) for process control, process development, and continuous improvement. Drive adoption of BKMs and new applications.

\n

• Maintain working knowledge of ion beam system processes, hardware, and relevant diagnostics. Plan, implement, and monitor measures to enhance system performance.

\n

• Troubleshoot process-related issues and collaborate with service and engineering teams to identify and implement effective solutions.

\n

• Present technical aspects of products and systems to internal teams.

\n

• Provide on-the-job training, education, and technical assistance to fellow team members.

\n

• Work as part of a cross-functional team with service, sales, product management, marketing, and engineering to support product development and business objectives.

\n

• Participate in technical training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and stay current on product technologies.

\n

• Evaluate and approve the operational quality of system equipment, ensuring proper operation and maintenance procedures are followed.

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of related experience in thin film technologies or related equipment.

\n

• Master's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry with 3+ years of related experience.

\n

• Ph.D. candidates with minimal experience will be considered.

\n

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

\n

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical support or related operational responsibilities.

\n

• Semiconductor device knowledge and experience with module processes and process integration in logic and/or memory fabrication preferred.

\n

• Understanding of thin film deposition processes and associated hardware is desirable.

\n

• Self-motivated team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

\n

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

\n

Additional Information

• Occasional travel up to 25%, primarily domestic, with potential international travel.

\n
