A reputable, mid-sized aerospace company in South Seattle, WA, is hiring for an IT Systems Administrator. The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for
troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems with desktop computer hardware/software, physical & virtual server hardware/software, and local area network infrastructure for both Seattle/Everett sites. This position will use effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems. There will be a requirement for this employee to travel between the South Seattle and the Everett site, but mileage will be reimbursed.
Pay - $36/hr. - $40/hr. (Depending on relevant qualifications, tenure, certifications, etc.)
Location - South Seattle, WA (3 Days) and Everett, WA (2 Days) - 100% Onsite
Schedule - 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST
Contract Duration - 6-Month Contract-To-Hire
(Summary of Key Responsibilities)
- Support Information Technology requests and troubleshoot end-user computing & access issues via the I.T. Help Ticket system.
- Maintain and support end-user personal computers (desktop & laptop), Operating Systems, Office 365 & commonly used applications, scanners & printers, office & mobile phones, and approved access to the company's applications and data.
- Maintain and support Server (virtual/physical) infrastructure, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, researching event log warnings and errors, system resource monitoring, (light) SQL database administration, data back-up, and recovery; and assist in adding/refreshing server technologies & environments.
- Maintain and support Network infrastructure, including internet & intranet connectivity, firewalls, routers, switches, and all network segments. Analyze network performance using network utilities to perform network/segment tuning to ensure secure and performant connectivity to internal and external systems, including 3rd party applications/public and government cloud environments.
- Monitor the Information Technology Performance Dashboard to prevent and/or minimize events impacting the company's business and end users. management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed.
- Work with the company's IT, site, and 3rd party resources to execute IT-related projects across multiple regions/sites.

(Qualification Requirements)
- Must be able to meet ITAR compliance.
- Must be comfortable submitting to a drug test, including THC screening.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience setting up domain users, reviewing group policies, managing OU permissions, and maintaining account and network passwords.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining VMware, vSphere, ESXi, resource pools, VMFS, and virtual switching.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience managing Firewall appliances such as SonicWall and Fortinet.
- Must have hands-on experience with Office 365 administration and MFA products.
- Must have hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, VLANs
- Must have good organization and documentation skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Must have proven capability to communicate (verbal/written) complex technical information to junior and sr. levels in the organization.
- Must have proven capabilities to prioritize and execute multiple tasks concurrently and effectively respond/participate in urgent scenarios impacting key business objectives.
- A good understanding of PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix is highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
