Hiring: IMS/IDMS Specialist – Automotive Domain
Location: Dearborn, MI (Day 1 Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
We are looking for experienced Mainframe Developers with strong expertise in IMS (DB/TM) and IDMS for development and maintenance projects within the Automotive domain.
Required Skills & Experience:
· Strong hands-on experience in IMS DB/TM and IDMS development & maintenance
· Proven experience working in the Ford environment (current or past)
· Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and Mainframe utilities
· Experience with debugging tools and performance tuning
· Solid understanding of SDLC methodologies and Agile practices
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
· Production support and incident resolution experience
Key Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain applications using IMS DB/TM and IDMS
· Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions
· Provide production support and resolve incidents promptly
· Ensure compliance with Ford standards, security protocols, and guidelines
· Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Preferred Qualifications:
· Automotive industry experience is highly preferred
· Knowledge of Ford-specific applications and business processes
· Experience with migration, modernization, or integration projects
· Ability to work effectively with global teams across NA and AP regions
