Position Summary
The Senior IT Systems Analyst serves as a senior technical and functional owner for warehouse
management systems (WMS) supporting warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, and distribution operations.
The role leads complex analysis, solution design, production support, and continuous improvement to
strengthen system reliability, data integrity, and operational performance.
Extensive hands-on WMS experience is required, including configuration, advanced troubleshooting,
testing, implementations, and production support. Softeon WMS experience is strongly preferred. The
role requires advanced SQL and integration expertise, ownership of complex issues and enhancements,
and the ability to provide technical leadership across operations, IT teams, vendors, and junior
analysts.

Support and administer WMS applications, including configurations, operational workflows,
production issues, releases, and vendor coordination.

Query and validate inventory, order, shipment, and transaction data; investigate discrepancies and
support operational reporting.
Troubleshoot WMS interfaces with ERP, OMS, TMS, automation, carrier, EDI, API, and file-based
systems.

Understand warehouse workflows, document requirements, support process improvements, and partner
with operations and business teams.
WMS Application Ownership & Support
• Serve as the senior technical and functional owner for assigned WMS applications, with primary
responsibility for
complex support, stability, and optimization and a strong focus on Softeon where deployed.
• Lead WMS configuration, workflow design, user access, system settings, releases, upgrades, and
vendor-delivered changes in alignment with business and technical standards.
• Support receiving, putaway, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and
cycle counting.
• Troubleshoot production issues affecting warehouse and fulfillment operations.
Integration & Data Issue Troubleshooting
• Support WMS integrations with ERP, OMS, TMS, EDI, carrier, automation, reporting, and other
third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot transaction, data, mapping, timing, file transfer, API, and interface
failures.
• Lead root-cause analysis for complex or recurring issues and coordinate resolution across
operations, developers, infrastructure teams, integration partners, and vendors.
• Document integrations and support procedures, and validate changes through deployment.
SQL & Data Analysis
• Use SQL to investigate issues, validate inventory, order, shipment, and transaction data, and
support reporting.
• Write and modify queries using joins, filters, aggregations, and validation logic.
• Support data cleanup, conversion, migration, and data-quality efforts.
Business Process & Functional Analysis
• Work with business users to understand warehouse processes, system issues, and improvement
opportunities.
• Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into functional and technical
requirements, solution options, test scenarios, and prioritized work items.
• Determine whether issues relate to process, configuration, data, integrations, training, or
vendor defects.
• Maintain process documentation and user guidance.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Coordinate incidents, enhancements, and escalations with software vendors and internal
teams.
• Provide clear recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business
impacts, risks, solution options, requirements, and testing outcomes.
• Maintain effective relationships with operations, business teams, vendors, developers, and IT
operations.
Testing, Implementation & Continuous Improvement
• Lead or coordinate integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; define test strategy,
create scenarios, manage defects, and validate results.
• Lead technical and functional activities for deployments, cutovers, upgrades, implementations,
and post-go-live stabilization.
• Own complex enhancements from discovery through implementation, ensuring solutions align with
business requirements, supportability, and technical standards.
• Mentor analysts and support personnel, share system knowledge, and establish repeatable
troubleshooting and documentation practices.
• Identify recurring issues and lead improvements to processes, configurations, integrations,
monitoring, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience supporting, implementing, and optimizing WMS or
related warehouse execution software.
• Demonstrated senior-level ownership of WMS functional support, configuration, complex
troubleshooting, testing, implementations, and issue resolution.
• Advanced SQL skills for data investigation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and
validation.
• Proven experience leading resolution of complex application, data, and integration issues across
multiple teams and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of receiving, putaway, inventory control, replenishment, picking, packing,
shipping, returns, and cycle counting.
• Ability to lead requirements analysis, solution evaluation, testing, implementation, and
continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, stakeholder-management, vendor-management, and
problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, mentor others, and drive complex
issues and initiatives through resolution.
Preferred Qualifications
• Direct Softeon WMS support, configuration, implementation, or optimization experience is
strongly preferred.
• Experience with enterprise WMS platforms, warehouse automation, carrier, or material-handling
systems.
• Experience with robotics automation, including goods-to-person or similar warehouse automation
functionality.
• Experience with APIs, EDI, ETL, middleware, flat-file integrations, and Tableau.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment
environments.
• Experience supporting implementations, upgrades, data conversions, or vendor-led
projects.
